HENRY WILLIAMS MEMORIAL
ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Pickens County Fire Chief's Association sponsors a golf tournament each
year to raise funds to operate and maintain our smoke trailer
and to fund other activities. For the last several years, the
tournament has been held at Rolling Green Golf Course near
Dacusville on the 2nd or 3rd Wednesday of May.
The golf tournament has been named the Henry Williams Memorial Golf Tournement
in memory of Henry Williams who was instrumental setting up the tournament
and promoting fire safety education. Henry served as fire chief at the
Dacusville Fire Department.
The proceeds will be used to support fire safety education programs.
In the past the money has gone toward the purchase of a Freddy the
Feline mascot suit that is used in conjunction with our
Smoke House training trailer
to educate the children of Pickens County in Fire Safety.
